The patented Comesys Non-Contact Angular Displacement Sensor lies at the heart of
every Comesys accelerator pedal assembly.
The sensor was designed to overcome the reliability problems that are encountered
with normal potentiometer style angular sensors. Sliding potentiometer style sensors
have been in the market place for some time, but always encounter the same problems.
Not only are they unreliable due to the wear between the sliding electrical contacts,
but they offer poor resolution of angular movement, and require complicated mechanical
linkage systems to the accelerator pedal.
Our sensor combines a simple mechanical design with the latest Digital Signal
Processing circuitry to give a highly robust product that offers the excellent
positional accuracy and exceptional value. The unique design of our sensor allows
the pedal assembly to be greatly simplified, as the sensor only requires a small
angular movement to give a full range output.
The main advantages of the Comesys Non-Contact Sensors are:
Dual channel sensor allowing for redundancy of one channel
Outstanding linearity +/- 2%
High switch position accuracy +/- 20mV accuracy
Over 10 million cycle life span
